One of the things I enjoy most about reviewing products on mybeerbuzz, is when I get to try out cool new electronics as they hit the market. And what’s even more exciting to me is when that product involves music. Today’s test drive checks all of those boxes and I think you’ll agree that this device has “fun” written all over it.
Our cool device comes to us from Sway Audio, and it is called the Minioke LED Go Portable Karaoke Set. The name of the device will pretty much give you a big clue about what it’s all about…Music and Karaoke. The set includes a wireless speaker as you’d expect, but it’s way more than just an awesome way to play your music. Add in a state-of-the-art wireless microphone, and now you or your guests can sing along with the music… and if that’s not enough fun, the Minioke also has a built-in light show.
After reading that last paragraph, you’re probably picturing a large device, but you’d be wrong. The Minioke speaker/light show and microphone are both less than 6-inches tall. This will allow you to take your Minioke to parties, picnics, tailgates and even the beach. The battery lasts about 6-hours on a full charge and medium volume (Type-C USB charging port) and the device is easy to transport.

Of course I had to test drive the Minioke and boy was I surprised. The 5-watt multi-ambient speak connected easily and the music sounded great. With booming base and crystal-clear treble, the Minioke will fool you with just how good it sounds for such a tiny package. The speaker itself has a durable cloth covering, and the top half has the light-show I mentioned above; with multi-mode ambient lighting that you can set or turn off and it actually has seven different colors.
Next up I tried out the Karaoke portion of the unit and I can say the wireless microphone not only connected quickly and easily, it also sounded great coming through the speaker, even with my awful voice.
Overall I’d say the Minioke will be appearing at my next party to entertain my guests, but in the mean time, I’m excited to get to use it as a simple speaker and light show. The music sounds great, the Karaoke is fun and the light show is the icing on this cool cake.
