This is the 2nd year in a row Blue Note Juke Joint and Blue Note Crossroads have won double gold medals in the competition considered to be the most influential spirits competition in the world.
MEMPHIS, Tenn., May 1, 2023 – Blue Note Bourbon announced today the rare distinction of back-to-back double gold medals in the San Francisco World Spirits Competition for two Blue Note bourbons, Blue Note Juke Joint and Blue Note Crossroads. With over 6,000 entries across all spirits, Blue Note Bourbon had two of the 81 Bourbons that were awarded double gold medals. Out of those awarded in that category, Blue Note Bourbon stands out as a readily available high-quality Bourbon that can be found in stores at an unbeatable value. As the producer of Blue Note Bourbon, B.R. Distilling is the only Tennessee distillery to receive Double Gold in the Straight Bourbon category.
Since its introduction in 2000, the San Francisco World Spirits Competition (SFWSC) has become one of the most respected and influential spirits competitions in the world. This year’s competition included more than 6,000 entries and 40-plus judges considered spirits-industry experts. The Double Gold designation is awarded to the very few entries that receive Gold medal ratings by all members of the blind tasted judging panel. Both Blue Note Juke Joint and Blue Note Crossroads could win Platinum medals next year if they receive Double Gold medals for their third consecutive year.

Blue Note Juke Joint is an unfiltered, 93-proof Straight Bourbon Whiskey having a viscous body with a taste of vanilla, allspice, apricot, and pear. It has a finish of allspice that fades into lingering notes of oak, pear, and vanilla.
Blue Note Crossroads is an unfiltered, 100-proof Straight Bourbon Whiskey with the same mash as Juke Joint. However, Crossroads is finished with two types of toasted French oak producing flavors described by some as leather, molasses, milk chocolate, baking spice, raisin, plum, prune, and marshmallow.
