In light of some of the recent issues relative to potentially offensive beer and brewery names, and since I’m exposed to all sorts of new beer names; I thought I’d start to build out a list. In my coverage of the Foothills Brewing Sexual Chocolate and Mother’s Brewing MILF name change I mentioned that there were quite a few more. To back up that assertion, I now present to you a list of controversial beer and brewery names. This list was originally posted 14 Dec 2018, however I will be updating it.
Some of these are obviously offensive to most people, some are maybe not so obvious or universally controversial. Consumers can and will draw the line financially, and I suspect breweries will react (preemptively or otherwise) to protect their businesses… but it is at best a moving target. So where do YOU draw the line?
