Foothills Called Out On Twitter For Sexual Chocolate Label

I’ll let you decide how far the naming of beers and the images used on the packaging can go.  As much as it’s not my call to say what is right, wrong or even sensible with beer names and imagery, I will say that it’s hard to tell the difference between someone actually being offended versus someone trying to go “viral” on social media by leading the attack.  This beer and imagery has been around for a long time, but that doesn’t necessarily make it OK (as we just witnessed with baby It’s Cold Outside.)  Time will tell, but I know I can easily name 15 or 20 long-running beers that are likely to offend someone and another fifty or so that could…and I suspect we’ll see quite a few breweries revisiting questionable labels and beer names in the days and months to come.  Right or wrong…it’s up to you the consumer to decide and it’s up to you to draw the line.

So where’s your line?
