Just a month or so I ago I really enjoyed tasting my way through the new Summit Brewing Mixed Pack IPA edition. That pack included their new spring seasonal and 21st Anniversary beer, Twenty-One IPA, and today I’m excited to sample their new summer seasonal.
The beer is called Cabin Crusher Kölsch-Style Ale with Lime and it first appeared in 2019 as part of the Block Party Box. Cabin Crusher will replace Summer Ale as the new summer seasonal ale putting Summer Ale on hiatus for now. Summit Brewing has traditionally brewed many German-style beers, so this new seasonal is right up their alley. Our pal Damian McConn brewed the beer with Northern Brewer, Loral and Lemon Drop hops as well as lime peel and lime puree for a refreshing crisp combination that is perfect for summer.
