Half Acre - Quaker Bridge Barleywine Coming 11/26

From Half Acre:

Next week is the time to sit down and drink barley wine. It's Thanksgiving, a time for family, friends, stragglers and mass dining in celebration of a come one come all attitude. Each year we brew an ogre of a barley wine we've come to call Quakerbridge. Quakerbridge Barley Wine celebrates the close quarter scenario, the hodge podge of random faces and the experience of Thanksgiving.

Quakerbridge is the name of a mall where Matt and Gabriel grew up. This mall, like most, is a place where all kinds of folks come out to mingle under one roof. Maybe you want a poster at Spencer Gifts or some sweet new shades at the sunglass hut. Maybe you just love food courts. It doesn't really matter, you're going to see a hearty swath of America all percolating together. Like any of our nation's finest shopping malls, Thanksgiving gets us all breaking bread together.

Quakerbridge Barley Wine is a 10% ABV rolling pin sure to smooth out even the closest of quarters. As in years past, this beer lands with a stiff hop presence, but time offers necessary hush so the grains can get out on top. It's your call, buy one to drink with your aunt that doesn't drink beer and blow back her hair or wait a couple months and crack one during the depths of winter's angriest time. Either way, be sure to head out into the mix and warm the homes and heads coming your way.

Happy Thanksgiving from everyone at Half Acre Beer Co.
