From Elevation Beer:
September 25th, 2013 Poncha Springs, Colorado- Elevation Beer Company is happy to announce its upcoming Fall Seasonals: Downpour, a Fresh Hop Extra IPA; Inconceivable, a Barrel Aged Double IPA; and the return of Apis IV, Elevation’s Belgian Honey Quadrupel.
“We are excited to be releasing three fantastic beers this fall, with a specialty Fresh Hop release being added to our Black and Double Black Series." says Head Brewer Christian Koch. “We used over 250 pounds of Colorado Fresh Hops in this year’s Downpour, making it come in at over four pounds per barrel of hops.”
Coming up in the next month these three beers will be released – Downpour starting in late September, and Apis IV and Inconceivable dropping in Mid-October.
“There will be a few oportunites to try all of their new releases at our upcoming events for Great American Beer Festival,” says Sales Generalissimo Xandy Bustamante, “All three beers are extremely unique and represent some of our best brewing to date.”
Apis IV, since its first release last summer, has garnered several awards including a 2nd place finish in Beverage World’s top 2013 US beers, a Bronze at the 2013 US Open Beer Championship, and a 92 rating in both Draft Magazine and Beer Advocate Magazine.
“Apis IV is definitely our #1 requested Black Series release, says Bustamante, “We are very excited for this year's batch made again with locally harvested Honey from Salida, Colorado.”
Elevation will also release its first New Oak Barrel-Aged beer, Inconceivable a barrel-aged Double IPA aged in freshly made Kentucky Oak barrels.
“Previously all of our Double Black Series releases were aged in either wine or spirit barrels. The new oak will lend more wood and vanilla character to Inconceivable, which will be balanced out by a copious amount of hops. We are really excited as the barrels are already tasting fantastic.” Comments Head Brewer Christian Koch.
Look for these beers to be available in limited amounts across Colorado, and be sure to check out www.elevationbeerco.com and Elevation’s Facebook page for upcoming events and happenings.
