Join us as we begin selling memberships for El Catador Club, our exclusive beer club that guarantees you 5 bottles of barrel-aged beer with the ability to purchase more. Read more up on it here.
Starting Sunday, July 21 at 5:00pm in our Spruce Street tasting room, memberships will go on sale. We intend to sell these memberships for two weeks or until we reach 1,000 members, whichever comes first. Once we have reached this time limit or number, we will start selling a predetermined amount of memberships online.
Please note that only one membership is allowed per person. Memberships purchased with a credit card will cost 5% more than cash. We're expecting a busy Sunday night so please have your payment ready. There will be a form you will need to fill out to join the club; this form will be available online in the coming days to make it quicker and easier the night of the sign-up.
Our good friends from Wicked 'Wiches Food Truck will be on hand serving up delicious food! We may even throw a surprise beer on tap for the event.
We've received a lot of questions since announcing El Catador Club a couple days ago, so let's go over some of the most asked just to clear things up:
Q: Does the $120 only buy me a membership, meaning I'd then have to pay for the 5 bottles?
A: No, $120 not only buys you a membership, but it also guarantees you 5 bottles of beer. Look at this way: you're pre-paying $120 for 5 bottles of beer, a t-shirt and 10% off of all purchases in the tasting room. However, there will be additional beers released that club members will have first access to purchase. These special beers will not be guaranteed as a part of the $120, but club members will be the first people allowed to purchase them
Q: Trustees...what's that all about?
A: A trustee is simply a person who is allowed to pick up any of the 5 guaranteed bottles at any time during the time the membership is active. Only card-carrying members are allowed to receive 10% discounts or purchase additional bottles. So, a trustee does not have the ability to do either of those things, only to pick up the 5 beers that are guaranteed in the membership. A person can be a trustee for any number of people.
Q: How long do I have to pick up bottles?
A: Guaranteed bottles can be picked up from the tasting room up until membership ends. Membership ends 30 days after the release of the 5th and final guaranteed bottle. There is no set time period for El Catador Club. Theoretically we could release all 5 beers in a day and it would end 30 days after that day. Or it could last more than a calendar year. We are giving ourselves a little more room to make sure everything goes right with the beers and for the club members.
Q: How will the online sales work?
