Dogfish Head - Ancient Ales Dinner Series & Analog-A-Go-Go Screen Prints

From Dogfish Head:

Over the next few months, our Ancient Ales Dinner Series will be celebrating our liquid time capsules and the foods that pair best with them.

Since 1999, Dogfish Head has worked closely with biomolecular archaeologist Dr. Patrick McGovern to bring ancient brewing history back to life. The resulting Ancient Ales – made with ingredients like juniper berries, chai, cocoa nibs, muscat grapes and saffron – transport modern beer connoisseurs to a time when brewers were unencumbered by purity laws, style rules and bottom lines.

Host restaurants will pair the Ancient Ales with modern cuisine, and each ticketholder will get an Ancient Ales goblet, keychain opener, a stone coaster and a poster to take home.

Check out the dates and venues here.

Our annual Analog-A-Go-Go festival – chock full of craft beer, vinyl and arts – came with a big bonus this year: limited-edition signed prints from animator Jim Mazza.

Mazza, who's done posters for Band of Horses, Eric Church, The Melvins and scores of others, also created this year's popular line of seasonal prints, posters, coasters and T-shirts.

"Jim has a great way of giving striking and whimsical qualities to the characters, man and beast, in his work," says Dogfish Head Founder and President Sam Calagione. "I thought his touch would be a perfect fit for our off-centered ales and the off-centered people who dig our beers."
