Two new and exciting 12.7oz (375ml) labels from Allagash Brewing today…Old HLT ale aged with cherries, which I can only assume stands for Hot Liquor Tank (apparently one used for target practice). This beer was brewed as tap-only back in 2010 for Allagash-aganza Novare Res…as an American Brown Ale aged on tart cherries (7% ABV) so I’m not sure it’s exactly the same beer. Beyond it being 8% ABV this time. Coolship Balaton ale aged in oak barrels with cherries is 5.9% ABV and recently released from the brewery.
