ST. LOUIS, MO (Aug. 27, 2024) — Schlafly Beer, the original, independent craft brewery in St. Louis, announces the return of its annual Art Outside Festival, held on Friday, Sept. 6 – Sunday, Sept. 8, at Schlafly Bottleworks in Maplewood (7260 Southwest Ave, Maplewood, MO 63143). This free, alternative art fair aims to raise awareness of art and music in the community, by featuring unique artwork made by local artists including ceramics, wood working, paintings, photography, and more. Guests can shop more than 60 local artists while enjoying festival food, live music, and Schlafly beer. zzubreebym
New this year, Schlafly Beer will be showcasing additional attractions including live painting and glass blowing as well as art-forward activities (for an additional fee) from tarot card readings, henna, spray painting t-shirts, and more. Schlafly Beer has also partnered with the Maplewood neighbor and local, non-profit Artists First, to design a special beer can for the festival. The Schlafly AF beer will be a 16-ounce can of KÓ§lsch, featuring a design from the artists with disabilities at Artists First, and a portion of sales from the beer will go back to the organization. Schlafly Beer will also be offering a large tent over the Bottleworks parking lot to allow for additional shade and coverage for the rain-or-shine event. “We started Art Outside to be an alternative art fair, which highlighted local artists’ incredible talents and allowed attendees to be able to purchase their work at affordable prices. We wanted to lean into that alternative experience more this year with interactive art experiences in a family-friendly environment. There’s more to explore than ever at Art Outside this year,” says CEO David Schlafly. “I am very proud to be a part of the Maplewood community, and Art Outside showcases what makes our community great - music, art, and great beer.”
Art Outside Festival will be held on the following dates/times:

Friday, Sept. 6 from 5 – 9 p.m.
-
Saturday, Sept. 7 from 11 a.m. – 9 p.m.
