With that in mind, I was excited to get a care package from Ska with an early peek at their new Swing Easy Peach Hard Tea. If you’re not familiar, this new malt-based hard tea is now available in 12oz cans and as Ska puts it,
“Coming in at a sessionable 5% ABV, Swing Easy Peach Hard Tea is lightly carbonated, offering a tantalizing taste of sun-ripened peaches perfectly blended with just a hint of tea. Whether you're kicking back on the porch or raising a can at your own version of a "tea party," this hard tea promises to keep things refreshingly peachy. At Ska Brewing, we focus less on bad puns and more on bringing you flavors that knock your socks off—if you're even wearing socks," said Jeff Mason, Ska Brewing’s Sometimes Pun-Avoider. "Swing Easy Peach Hard Tea is our latest effort to ensure that every sip is as satisfying as it is refreshing, without needing a punchline."
Of course I can’t wait to try it, so off we go….Swing Easy Peach Hard Tea is a really sessionable and drinkable new beverage that I really liked a lot. The subtle flavors of tea and prominent flavors of fresh juicy peaches really work well together and I quickly forgot that there was any alcohol involved. I should also point out that this Ska beyond-beer is also gluten-free like some of their bubbly water and hard seltzer. This beverage really tastes great and before I knew it, I was at the bottom of my glass. I did try some of Swing Easy over ice and it was every bit as enjoyable (and even more refreshing) on ice.
Overall, I’d say that Swing Easy Peach Hard Tea has to be one of my favorite beyond-beer entries from Ska and one of my favorite hard tea flavors. Swing Easy is available now in 12oz cans wherever Ska Brewing beers are sold so get out there and try it for yourself…and when you do try it, be sure to let us know what YOU think. zzubreebym
