Bourbon enthusiasts can unite in Center City, Philadelphia. Inherently American restaurant, Bank & Bourbon, is now featuring an exclusive Blanton’s Private Barrel in it bourbon flight for $32.
Blanton’s Bourbon, named after Albert Blanton, the late president of George T. Stagg Distiller, is the world’s first single barrel bourbon that was bottled and sold in 1984. This particular bottle, which is exclusive to Bank & Bourbon, has notes of vanilla and toffee layered with butterscotch and cinnamon with a smooth mouthfeel.
The bourbon flight also features Wathen’s Single Barrel with aromas of new wood and vanilla with flavors of cloves with a long, warm finish; Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel Select with notes of banana bread and cloves on the nose with notes of toasted oak and caramel with hints of white pepper on the finis and lastly the Four Roses Single Barrel which tastes like dried raisins and vanilla on the nose with robust mouthfeel with notes of honey, peaches and brown sugar.
