From Chuckanut:
Sound & Fury Morris Dancers Return to Chuckanut Brewery's May Day Bash at South Nut zzubreebym
May is at our doorstep and to help usher it in Seattle’s Sound & Fury Morris Dancers (soundandfurymorris.com) will perform at Chuckanut’s South Nut Tap Room 1-3 pm Saturday, April 29. At the same time Chuckanut will tap its Aged Maibock, a strong spring lager traditionally tapped in May (Mai in German). Maibock is a light-colored Bock Lager with a moderate bitterness balancing out a slightly sweet, full-bodied palate packed with rich ripe fruit aromas due to a lengthy lagering period and 7% ABV. Sound and Fury Morris Dancers are traditional English folk dancers with live accompaniment on fiddle, concertina and accordion. They will dance outside in the beer garden if weather permits. To round out the day Chained & Charmed Jewelry will have a pop up with lots of merchandise to purchase for a fresh new addition to your 2023 spring look!
Chuckanut Brewery’s aged Maibock is over a year old! Plenty of malt and a high alcohol strength with a clean finish makes this 2020 GABF Gold Medal Winner a dangerously smooth lager! This spring bock is a great match with any rich foods and heavy sauces or desserts. Maibock is only available this year on tap at Chuckanut’s South Nut Tap Room in Skagit Valley and the P Nut Beer Hall in Portland as well as a few selected accounts around the NW. Drop into the Tap Room on your way to see the famous Skagit tulips or April Brews Day in Bellingham (April 29). It’s an easy stop off on the way to both events just off Hwy 20 at the Port of Skagit Airport. This event is free and welcomes all ages!
Chuckanut Brewery brews award winning Lagers and Ales and has won Large Brewery of the Year at WA Beer Awards 2017, 2019 and 2021 and Small Brewery at the GABF 2011. The production facility and Tap Room is in Skagit Valley at 11937 Higgins Airport Way, Burlington, WA. Chuckanut Brewery’s P. Nut Beer Hall is at 920 SE Caruthers St, Portland. Both locations welcome guests of all ages and have indoor and outdoor seating! Check out additional information about Chuckanut at chuckanutbrewery.com.
