From Wild Leap:
LAGRANGE, GA (April 18, 2022): Wild Leap is proud to announce the newest addition to the wildly popular Alpha Abstraction Double IPA Series. Alpha Abstraction Volume XX (8% ABV) is a juicy, double dry-hopped IPA brewed with YCH Cryo Trial 603 and Mosaic Cryo hops with hazy, floral and herbal flavor notes. This is the twentieth edition of the series, with a varied hop profile in each volume. Alpha Abstraction Vol. XX hits shelves today.
The entire Wild Leap team agrees that this is the best of the series so far, and Alpha Abstraction lovers won’t want to miss this delicious volume of one of their favorite beers. Since the Alpha Abstraction series was created to explore hop varieties and experiment with flavor profiles, brewers saw the twentieth volume as an exciting opportunity.
“Reaching the twentieth volume of the Alpha Abstraction series is an important benchmark for us, and we decided to brew this volume with a couple of our favorite hops to celebrate,” explains Wild Leap’s Chief Brewing Officer, Chris Elliott. “We have done a good bit of hop experimentation in the last four years, and two of our absolute favorite hops are Mosaic Cryo
and YCH Cryo Trial 603. Both give wonderful notes of blueberry, stone fruit and mango. It’s a great combination!”
Within this series, Chris adds hops early in the process for bitterness and then again during the last minutes of the boil to extract more alpha acids. As more and different hops are added, the flavors and aromas start to pop for some vibrant taste sensations. As with all versions in the series, Alpha Abstraction Vol. XX will only be around for a short time, so don’t wait. This ensures the flavor and aroma of the hops is at its peak. Alpha Abstraction is always brewed with freshness in mind.
Alpha Abstraction Vol. XX (8.0%) is available for purchase at the brewery and with retailers throughout the Southeast this week.
