Brecon Beacons, Wales – February 7, 2022: Award-winning Welsh whisky company Penderyn Distillery has announced a limited-edition release of Penderyn Legend in partnership with Women Who Whiskey (wWw) to commemorate the organization’s 10th anniversary. The new U.S. release is orchestrated by importer ImpEx Beverages and celebrates the groundbreaking Women Who Whiskey movement’s decade-long commitment to an inclusive whisk(e)y industry.

Penderyn Legend wWw 10th Anniversary Edition

Embodying the ethos of wWw, Penderyn Legend wWw 10th Anniversary Edition celebrates the heart and skill of the women behind Penderyn Distillery. An all-female distilling and blending team set Penderyn apart from other distilleries, and the tutelage of Dr. Jim Swan makes the expressions they offer even more special and unique. This special release of 3,000 bottles is matured in specifically reserved ex-Bourbon casks made from American Oak before receiving further maturation in Oak Barriques that have previously held Madeira wine. The result is a harmonious Single Malt whisky with a subtle but sophisticated character and soft golden hue.

For more than a decade, wWw has offered members the opportunity to learn about spirits and cocktail culture through a worldwide network of like-minded people and world-class events. In 2021, wWw marked its milestone anniversary by uniting whisk(e)y lovers around the globe through a collaboration with ImpEx Beverages, producing this special bottling Penderyn Legend wWw 10th Anniversary Edition. This special release is accompanied by tasting events in which the women involved in the production process share their craft and unique insight into the Welsh whisky industry.
