The final results of the U.S. Open Beer Championships, the second largest beer judging competition in the U.S for the past three years, were released this past week. Toppling Goliath Brewing Company made an appearance on the podium in seven different categories.
In the New England / Juicy DIPA category, King Sue tied for Gold with Kros Strain Brewing (Nebraska) for their Southern Hopisphere. Pseudo Sue also saw recognition in the #2 spot for the Juicy or Hazy Pale Ale category.
Stout-wise, Mornin' Delight 2021 received Gold in the Imperial Stout Specialty category, Gold in the Barrel-Aged Strong Stout/ Porter Extreme for Assassin 2021, and tied for Gold in the Barrel-Aged Strong Stout / Porter Specialty category with KBBS 2020 and Mikerphone Brewing's Sir Blends-A-Lot. Additionally, in the Specialty/Anything Goes category, Toppling's collaboration brew with Horus Aged Ales, Barrel-Aged Stout Hawks, took home the silver.
The most notable recognition was being voted on as the Grand National Champion in the brewery category followed by Schulz Brau Brewing (Tennesse) at #2 and Motorworks Brewing (Florida) at #3.
After receiving these awards, Toppling Goliath's Head Brewmaster, Mike Saboe, elaborated on the honors. It's an honor and privilege to accept these awards. Our team's inspired by a shared love of beer, and this collective mindset continues to motivate our pursuits in crafting top-shelf beer," said Mike Saboe.
