River North Brewery Begins Return to Namesake Neighborhood

River North Brewery Begins Return to Namesake NeighborhoodFrom River North:

After six months of unanticipated delays, River North Brewery has begun renovations on its new flagship taproom, at 3400 Blake Street, back in the RiNo district of Denver.

As the first brewery to open in RiNo in 2012, River North witnessed the revolution of its namesake neighborhood into one of the most prolific brewing districts in the world. In late 2015, ongoing redevelopment in the neighborhood and a lack of brewing space pushed River North to relocate to 6021 Washington Street, its long-term production hub – technically a few miles North of RiNo.

But now, the final piece is in place, and the clock has started on River North’s return home.

Featuring a seven barrel pilot brewhouse, private back lounge and southwest-facing beergarden, the Blake Street taproom will allow River North’s brewers to flex their creative muscle, crafting both new and limited fan-favorite small-batch brews. Expect everything from dry stouts to hazy IPAs to River North classics like BPR, Hello Darkness and Hoppenberg.

The new taproom sits in the heart of RiNo, mere blocks from the light rail station at 38th and Blake Street, as well as the pedestrian bridge to Brighton Boulevard, the neighborhood’s other main thoroughfare.

The brewery will continue to pour beers at its 6021 Washington Street taproom once Blake Street is up and running, satisfying thirsty beer lovers North of I-70.

River North expects to open 3400 Blake Street this fall, most likely between Halloween and Thanksgiving – which will make it both the oldest and newest brewery in RiNo. When that happens, expect the biggest party in the brewery’s beer-soaked history – aptly dubbed The Homecoming Party.

As independent Denver brewers established in 2012, River North Brewery crafts #AdventureFuel only available in Colorado, with a full lineup of crushable cans and cellar-worthy bottles. Like the brewery at facebook.com/rivernorthbrewery or follow and tag @rivernorthbrew on Twitter and Instagram.
