From Boulevard:
We’re excited to announce that Linkin’ Up Hop Dust IPA, a collaboration with our friends from Zipline Brewing Company in Lincoln, Nebraska, debuts in six-packs of 12oz bottles and on draft in the Greater Kansas City Area on Monday, June 4th! A project born of mutual respect and admiration for each other’s breweries, beers and people, this unique collaboration will see a complementary beer brewed and packaged by Zipline in the form of Getting' Down, a double IPA also brewed with lupulin powder, AKA hop dust.
In creating Linkin’ Up Hop Dust IPA, our brewers and the crew from Zipline chose a fairly simple malt bill composed of our two-row base pale malt with just a touch of toasty Vienna malt to provide color and subtle sweetness while allowing super bright notes of pineapple, mango and bubble gum contributed by liberal hopping with Bravo, Galaxy, Simcoe, Mosaic and lupulin powder (AKA hop dust).
Pouring a slightly hazy, honey golden color, Linkin’ Up IPA bursts with aromas suggestive of tropical fruit, citrus peel and freshly cut peaches. A sip reveals that the flavors follow suit with notes of stone fruit, bubble gum and mango leading to a slightly grassy, lingering bitterness that’s tempered by sweet, toasty malt. A crisp, dry finish serves to punctuate the beer leaving behind subtle traces of blueberry, tangerine and rose blossoms.
