We’re pleased to announce 2017 Nocturn Chrysalis — our barrel aged sour beer refermented with Marion blackberries! This is our fifth blend of Nocturn Chrysalis. The first blend was released in September, 2013.
2017 Nocturn Chrysalis is 5.1% alcohol by volume, 7 IBU, 3.3 pH, and has a finishing gravity of 1.003 (0.75 Plato). It was packaged in August, 2017.
Nocturn Chrysalis will be released when our tasting room opens at 4pmon Friday, November 10th. It will be available by the glass and in bottles to go (500ml/$20). We have about 7,000 bottles with a bottle limit of four per customer per day. We also packaged 180 1.5L magnum bottles, which will be sold through a lottery in the future. Aside from special events and a small handful of onsite accounts, Nocturn Chrysalis will only be available at our tasting room. We also harvested the Marion blackberries from 2017 Nocturn Chrysalis for a future batch of Grim Harvest.
