We know you have questions, and we have answers. This is your go-to guide for the most up-to-date information about Cold Mountain Release 2017, and we’ll update it regularly as more details are firmed up.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! We’ve added more time and more beer to this year’s Cold Mountain release, so for you Cold Mountain pros out there, the Cliff’s Notes version is in the next paragraph. New to this special event? Please read on for all the details.

First, packaged beer sales will take place IN THE MEADOW. We will have a large tent set up, and will sell canned beer in line while you wait (sorry, but Cold Mountain is not available in cans). PLEASE DO NOT BYOB. It ain’t legal, y’all. We’ll also have a food truck on site starting at 12pm to make sure you stay fed. Second, OUR HOURS HAVE EXPANDED, please take note – Thursday, we open at 3pm, Friday at 12pm, and Saturday at 12pm.

WHAT’s so special about Thursday, Nov. 9?
That’s the day we release Cold Mountain Winter Ale! Cold Mountain, Imperial Cold Mountain, Coconut Cold Mountain and a fleet of Cold Mountain casks will flow in the Tasting Room, Event Center, and Rooftop Bar at 3pm. Can’t make it Thursday? Then join us on Friday at 12pm and Saturday at 12pm. We open at 12pm on Sunday for Cold Mountain on draft, but there will be no packaged beer allotment for that day.
WHEN and WHERE may I buy packaged Cold Mountain?
Packaged Cold Mountain goes on sale IN THE MEADOW, on Thursday, Nov. 9, starting at 3pm and will be available while that day’s supply lasts. We’ll have another supply of Cold Mountain available for purchase on Friday at 12pm and another allotment on Saturday at 12pm. We recommend getting here early to get in line to guarantee you get your packaged beer! We will be selling cans to the line while you wait (sorry, but Cold Mountain is not available in cans).
Will you run out of Cold Mountain?
Bottles – yes. We suggest arriving by (if not before!) opening time on Thursday (3pm), Friday (12pm) or Saturday (12pm) for the best opportunity to purchase Cold Mountain. The line starts to form well before we open.
Pints – we think we’ll have enough to last through the weekend and up to a couple weeks later!
IMPERIAL COLD MOUNTAIN
You asked for it! Imperial Cold Mountain will be back in 22oz bottles and on draft this year! Get it before it’s gone! Just like Cold Mountain, this recipe has changed a bit from the previous year. It’s MAGICAL. We can’t wait to hear what you think!
WHEN may I buy Cold Mountain in a store or at a bar?
Starting Monday, Nov. 13, Cold Mountain will be available on draft and in packages at select retailers. As in past years, we have far more requests for this beer than we can fulfill.
HOW MUCH Cold Mountain may I purchase at the brewery, and what will it cost?
Cold Mountain:
One Cold Mountain 1-liter bottle ($13)
Three Cold Mountain 22oz bottles ($7 each)
One Cold Mountain 12-pack ($23)
Imperial Cold Mountain:
One Imperial Cold Mountain 1-liter bottle ($18)
Three Imperial Cold Mountain 22oz bottles ($10 each)
WHAT forms of payment may I use?
You may pay for your beer with cash or credit/debit card. No checks.
WHERE should I park?
Parking, like the beer, is first come first served. But do expect some traffic. We’ll have overflow parking, and starting at 5pm shuttles will run regularly between the overflow parking area and the brewery. Just follow the directions from the parking attendants.

Will there be any special Cold Mountain swag available?
Of course! We’ll have knit hats, awesome trucker hats, hoodies, thermals, t-shirts, long sleeves, and specialty glassware.

Should I expect a line?
Yes, you should 100% expect a line, and that’s part of the fun! We’ll do our very best to keep the lines moving, and let you know where you “stand” in line. If it looks like you’re on the fringe of getting beer from the daily supply, we’ll let you know. If it looks like you should probably head over to the Tasting Room to purchase a pint, we’ll let you know that, too. THE LINE WILL BE IN THE MEADOW THIS YEAR. You may want to bring a coat just in case
Is the Event Center open? Can I drink Cold Mountain on the roof? If so, how do I get to these cool places?
Yes, and yes! Enter from the outside of the building up the Event Center’s main stairs. You can follow the signs and people. How cool is it that you’ll be having a pint of Cold Mountain with views of Cold Mountain?!!
