This update from Old Forge Brewing:
HYPE JUICE RELEASING FRIDAY OCT. 13 AT 4 PM AT OUR BREWPUB IN DANVILLE!
Yes folks, we finally did it. We gave in. Forget about the bandwagon...the hazy, hoppy, juicy IPA hype train is rolling along and we jumped on for the ride. This unfiltered New England Style IPA is packed full of juicy hop aroma and flavor.
Does it look like orange juice like some other well known NE IPA's? Well, no, but we're not convinced that creating an intentionally hazy IPA is still a good idea. But toss an insane amount of juicy, resinous hops into the whirlpool and fermenter and leave the beer unfiltered and there's a pretty good chance it won't drop bright. But what it will have is an overwhelmingly intense hop aroma and flavor and that my friends is the point. On the flip side, as each day goes by all that hop aroma and flavor diminishes. Shelf life be damned, just drink it fresh, we only made about 100 cases of Hype Juice anyway so it will be gone before you know it.
We are canning this beer the morning of Friday October 13thand it will be available for sale the same day at the brewpub at4pm. How's that for fresh?
For you Mug Clubbers, you'll be happy to know that we will have a few kegs available for mug fills, FIRST COME FIRST SERVE, when the kegs kick and the cans are gone that's all she wrote.
Don't forget it's only available at our Danville brewpub on Friday, October 13th at 4 pm.
FRIDAY OCTOBER 13th 4 PM!
UPDATE 12 Jan 2018:
HYPE JUICE IS BACK! GET IT AT THE BREWPUB ON FRIDAY JAN 19TH!
Good News Folks, by popular demand the Hype Juice is back! This new pallet of empty cans rolled into our brewery and they are begging to be filled!
Hype Juice is currently in the fermenter and we are packaging it next week, to be released at the pub onFriday, January 19th. We used a different yeast strain on the same recipe...the result is a more authentic NE IPA...still just a little hazy, but with more fruitiness and a smoother finish. Another piece of good news...we are releasing some sixtels and cases to our distributors as well so if you're not too close to Danville, hopefully you'll be able to find it (in limited quantities) closer to home.
Friday January 19th at the brewpub in Danville.
