Milton, DE ., February 1, 2017 – In celebration of the upcoming 10th anniversary of Record Store Day, Dogfish Head Craft Brewery is releasingBeer To Drink Music To ’17, a tropical blonde ale, and will unite with Crosley Radio, architect of the iconic turntable, to kick off a two-month city tour of independent record stores and beer bars, sharing the love of vinyl, analog music and delicious craft brews.  The Dogfish Head x Crosley Cruiser journey begins in Louisville, KY, on Friday, March 3, and ends in the City of Brotherly Love on Record Store Day, Saturday, April 22.  A liquid soundtrack for the harmonious occasion and the official beer of Record Store Day, Beer to Drink Music To ’17, begins shipping nationwide on February 1, 2017.

A melodic inspired brew, Beer to Drink Music To ’17, features an ensemble of hibiscus flowers and kiwi juice, with strong citrus fruit aromas, hints of grapefruit and floral notes, with a crisp, dry finish.  Pinkish-red with a white head and clocking in at 6.8% ABV, this light bodied, quenching mashup is intended to perfectly intermingle and complement the Sony and Dogfish Head record collaboration, Music To Drink Beer To, Vol. 3.  Sam Calagione, Dogfish Head founder and president, and Adam Block, Sony Music Legacy Recordings president, selected a collection of their favorite legendary tracks while chatting all things vintage vinyl and craft beer. “The enjoyment of a beautiful beer with an amazing album at the same time is an exponentially awesome experience,” says Calagione.  The vinyl compilation will be released on Record Store Day at participating stores.

“I fell in love with music at the same time I fell in love with beer, & in an increasingly digital age, vinyl records provide a deep, tangible connection to music that reverberates with craft beer fans,” says Calagione.   Good tunes and great beer are at the heart of Dogfish as Sam composed a musically inspired series of brews with artists like Miles Davis, Deltron 3030, The Grateful Dead Pearl Jam and Guided by Voices.  “Our brewery has been obsessed with music since the day we opened,” says Calagione.   “And we have enjoyed every opportunity to weave together the art of brewing with our love of music, as often and meaningfully as we can.”

The Dogfish Head x Crosley Cruiser will visit 29 cities stopping at independent record stores and craft beer bars to celebrate and spread appreciation for music, indie record stores, original artwork, Crosley record players and off-centered beers.  After the sun goes down, Dogfish Head off-centered brews will be flowing and tunes will be jamming at stops along the tour.   The Dogfish Head x Crosley Cruiser city lineup includes Louisville, KY,  Nashville, TN, Indianapolis, IN,  Chicago, IL, Madison, WI, Milwaukee, WI, Detroit, MI, Columbus, OH, Cincinnati, OH, Pittsburgh, PA, State College, PA, Buffalo, NY, Syracuse, NY, Wakefield, RI, Somerville, MA, Allston, MA, Boston, MA, New York, NY, Mamaroneck, NY, Long Island City, NY, Washington, D.C., Fairfax, VA, Baltimore, MD, Milton, DE, Newark, DE, Wilmington, DE, Westmont, NJ, Jersey City, NJ, and Philadelphia, PA.  For more information about Music To Drink Beer To, Vol. 3, Beer To Drink Music To ’17, participating record stores, and destinations on the Dogfish Head x Crosley Cruiser tour, visit www.dogfish.com/record-store-day.
