- Brewed in honor of our original location in Battle Creek, MI Battle Kriek is a blend of a light Golden Sour Ale, a kettle soured Cherry Ale, a batch of our Apollyon Belgian Golden Strong, and a Golden Saison. All of these beers were aged in oak barrels for 8-18 months. Arcadia’s Brewers tasted every barrel project in the house to come up with a blend of 36 unique oak barrels from these 4 varied batches of beer. The combined flavor profiles of wood and light biscuit, tropical and citrus fruits, and a classic farmhouse funk were mixed with 1,200 pounds of Michigan cherries!
Pinkish ruby in color with a slight haze and light pink foamy head, this American Wild Ale/Wild Specialty Beer comes in at 7.4%. Aromas of cherry pie, citrus zest, peaches, and pastoral settings mirror the flavors of tart cherry pie, acidity from wild fermented sour cherry champagne as well as tropical and citrus fruits. A very dry and slightly tannic, thin mouthfeel is balanced by bright fruit and citrus acidity.

November 30, 2016 (Battle Creek, MI) join Arcadia Brewing Company in commemorating 20 years in the craft beer industry at their original location in Battle Creek on December 3rd, 2016 for a 20th Anniversary Celebration, held in true Arcadia-style with kilts, bagpipers, Celtic music, and haggis!
For 20 years, Arcadia Brewing Company has been committed to a British Inspired – American Brewed stable of beers. In 1996, Arcadia’s first 25 barrel batch was brewed on a Brick Kettle Brewing System from England, at the inaugurate Battle Creek, MI location. Fast-forward – today every batch is produced in the new 50 barrel American-made brewhouse at the Kalamazoo brewery. In the words of Tim Suprise (Founder & CEO), “20 years and it’s still about the beer!”
The day’s festivities will kick off with a traditional breakfast of corned beef and hash served by Tim Suprise himself from 9:30-11:30am. Become part of the family and join the Battle Creek Mug Club; registration will be open all day. The official 20th Anniversary Celebration festivities begin at 5pm with food specials by Arcadia’s own Chef Sean Kelly, featuring locally sourced produce and meats. At 6pm a traditional bagpipe procession will proceed Tim Suprises Address to a Haggis, in honor of Scottish Poet Robert Burns. At 7:30pm kick up your kilts and dance to the Celtic-based, globally-infused, world-beat band An Dro!
Along with great entertainment and food Arcadia’s Battle Kriek, a reserve 20thAnniversary ale brewed in honor of their founding location, will be tapped at 9:30am and served all day. Pre-orders for Arcadia Ales special 20th Anniversary Battle Kriek 750ml bottles will go live on the 3rd, with a Pick-up Party on December 17th that includes free breakfast from 11am-12pm.
And of course, the night wouldn’t be complete without some special Arcadia Ales 20thAnniversary schwag to take home, including commemorative license plates, poster, and apparel.
True to Arcadia’s philanthropic tradition, $1 from every pint sold during the 20thAnniversary Party in Battle Creek will benefit Habitat for Humanity.
