On May 6, 2016 Lawson’s Finest Liquids won a Silver medal in the Specialty Beer category at the World Beer Cup in Philadelphia, PA for their renowned “Maple Tripple Ale.” Brewer Sean Lawson remarked, “This beer is truly a labor of love! It is brewed with concentrated Vermont maple sap replacing water in the brewing process, then it spends a year in oak barrels that previously held Saxton’s River Distillery “Sapling” maple liquor. We package the beer in specialty bottles with a cork and cage finish done completely by hand.”
This marks the fourth time Lawson’s Finest has placed Vermont maple on the map for beer lovers with wins at the World Beer Cup in 2010, 2012, and the Great American Beer Fest in 2015.
The World Beer Cup is the largest and most prestigious international beer competition in existence. The event is held every two years and is hosted by the Brewers Association. The 2016 event featured over 6,590 different beers from 1,907 breweries in 55 countries competing in 96 categories.
