Woodchuck Cutting 10 Jobs After Pabst Agreement

imageFrom the BurlingtonFreePress:

About 10 people will lose their jobs at the company that makes Woodchuck Hard Cider in Middlebury as a result of an agreement to have Pabst Brewing Co. take over sales and distribution March 1, Vermont Hard Cider CEO Dan Rowell says.

Rowell said Tuesday that Woodchuck's team of about 75 people involved in sales and distribution will become Pabst employees, but perhaps 10 people will not make the transition. He said only about 20 of the sales and distribution jobs currently are in Vermont, with the remaining employees already out of state.

"Technically those 75 employees will no longer be Vermont Hard Cider employees," Rowell said. "Not necessarily all of them will transition. Pabst is still going through that analysis."
