BrewDog Searching For New Columbus, OH BrewDog Bar Location

Our epic plans for BrewDog USA are progressing well, with our Keith having departed these cold and windy shores for the rolling grasslands of the Buckeye State. Soon he’ll be joined by our people champion and Gatekeeper Zarah, who is also relocating to spearhead the assembling of a suitably awesome team for our American project. But it’s our sole (at present) US employee – expansion matriarch Katie – who needs your help at the moment, Columbus.

Why? Well, we are looking for a location for a BrewDog bar in your city!

You know we’re set on building a cutting-edge brewery with taproom and craft beer restaurant on our site at Gender Road, Canal Winchester – but we are also now looking for the perfect site fifteen miles up the road to open our very first US BrewDog Bar, in Columbus itself. Katie has been pounding the pavem…sidewalk and has already identified a few really cool sites – but she can’t be everywhere at once, so we would love for the C-Bus community to get involved!

We are looking at four potential neighbourhoods for the location of BrewDog Columbus – The Short North, Italian Village, Franklinton and the Victorian Village. As you probably know, we prefer our bars to be off-pitch, to have unusual or quirky features, so don’t let anything hold you back! The best way is often to keep eyes peeled for For Sale or To Let signs, or to have those ears tuned to the grapevine about any local sites becoming available.

We’ll turn it over to Katie for the more technical requirements of the prospective BrewDog Columbus!

“For our bar we need a site that is 2,000 – 5,000 square feet, with the majority of that space at street level. External areas are definitely a bonus! Corner units are even better – we love corner units – but by no means a requirement. In terms of zoning, ideally the site would have retail/restaurant use and the ability for liquor license approval. Existing municipally approved sites definitely make getting the bar open easier, which means we can be in and serving amazing beer in downtown Columbus in as little time as possible!”

We can’t wait to have the doors open to our flagship BrewDog bar in America – if you live in or have knowledge of the Discovery City, you can help make that bar become a reality. We will shortly be launching a dedicated BrewDog USA website for the latest details on the search, and job vacancies in Canal Winchester – and you can follow our Stateside team on the BrewDog USA Twitter feed, as they start the biggest project we have ever undertaken.

Ohio – we’re heading your way. And if there are any other US cities you think we should rock with a BrewDog bar, let’s hear them!
