Breckenridge Brewery will introduce an all-new line of portable & versatile nitrogen-carbonated beer in the first quarter of 2016.  The 16-oz can presents the ability to experience silky, smooth nitrogen-charged beer outside of the pub, even taking that experience to the great outdoors. This can promotes “nitro on the go,” for although a glass displays the cascading effects of the nitrogen head, with Breckenridge’s can design the glass is optional.  The Nitro Series from Breckenridge Brewery can be enjoyed anywhere – in a glass or right from the can.
Breckenridge will launch its Nitro Series in 4-packs starting with Nitro Vanilla Porter (NVP) and Nitro Lucky U IPA, available year-round where Breckenridge beer is sold.  “Vanilla Porter and Lucky U were logical choices for rolling out this ground-breaking release for us,” shares Todd Usry, Brewery Director.  “We’ve built a fan base for both of these beers in recent years with nitrogen-infused draft releases.  It’s time to put this beer on the shelves.” Later in the year, the brewery will begin rolling out a seasonal program in the nitro can package. The first release will be the fall seasonal expected to roll out mid-August.
The Nitro Series 4-pack is an important new addition to the brewery’s portfolio. George O’Neill, Director of Sales, explains, “We are capitalizing on strengths with the release of Nitro Series, offering our consumers another way to enjoy our bestselling beer, Vanilla Porter and a new way to enjoy craft’s bestselling style, IPA. The portability that our nitro can offers really opens the number of occasions in which the beer can be consumed. Those who enjoy the nitro experience no longer have to remain tied to the bar stool or pint glass.”
“These beers are dangerously drinkable,” adds Usry.  “Nitro beers offer a different palate experience.  Nitro Vanilla Porter has mellow, delicate vanilla flavor with a rich, porter base.  Nitro Lucky U IPA has lots of interesting hop character without the hop bitterness – that bitterness has been replaced by a creamy mouthfeel.” The small, uniform bubbles produced by nitrogen also create a longer-lasting head. “There’s just something mesmerizing about watching a good nitrogen pour.  You can drink this beer with your eyes,” concludes Usry.
Breckenridge Brewery built a new home in Littleton, Colorado, and moved primary production there this summer.  Its new canning line will increase the brewery’s canning speed nearly 800%. This translates to larger volumes of its 12-oz can offerings, including its sampler pack, and the ability to hit the market with nitrogen-charged 16-oz cans.
