Our 8th Annual SurlyFest is on Saturday, September 26 on the grounds of Surly MSP, 520 Malcolm Ave in Minneapolis, and you won’t want to miss it. A few tickets remain so you’ll need to act fast.
TICKETS
Tickets are now on sale for $40, so get ‘em HERE or at The Company Store at Surly before it’s too late.
(If you buy the tickets at The Company Store, you avoid the purchasing fee and save a few bucks.)
The $40 ticket (+ processing and tax) gets you entry into the festivities, a commemorative half-liter SurlyFest stein and 12 tickets for beer or food. There are also designated driver tickets for $10 (+ processing and tax) which’ll get you entry and two tickets for a sodie pop. Additional tickets, at $2 each, will be sold for food, soda and beer.
As always with Surly events, you must be 21+ to enter unless accompanied by a parent. Don’t be an idiot or we will throw you out and as always, be safe and arrange a ride or take a taxi home.
PARKING
SurlyFest will take up some of our parking lot, and we’re expecting a full house in the Beer Hall itself, so parking will be limited folks. Valet service will be available as usual, but luckily for you, our friendly neighbors are allowing us to use their lots too:

Even better, why not ditch the car – Surly MSP is conveniently located just two blocks from the light rail (Prospect Park on the Green Line) and bus routes, and we have plenty of bike parking. If you plan to drink, do not drive. We’re seriously easy to get to and from without a car. Or truck. Or tractor.
We’re celebrating our 9th anniversary this year with the release of NEIN, an Imperial Smoked Hefeweizen. We want to celebrate with all of you, so starting on Monday, September 28, we’re having release parties for NEIN in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Chicago and Iowa. We’ll have NEIN on draft at all the events as well as NEIN merch giveaways, so come out and raise a glass to nein years of Surly!

NEIN draws from the traditional banana and clove notes of Hefeweizen yeasts and layers on deeper toned malt flavors, a distinctly smoky character from oak-smoked wheat malt and charred “honeycombs” of white oak. All of the malt comes from Weyermann Malting, a family-owned operation in Bamberg Germany, which is the center of Rauchbier (smoked beers) in Germany. The inspiration came from a trip that our head brewer Todd Haug recently took to Bamberg to visit the Weyermann facility.
