Our Brewer/Cellarman Jordan brewed a very special beer to be tapped specifically on April 20th. We aren’t quite sure why he chose the 20th. Jordan argued, “no other day will do dude,” so we obliged.
The result is Probable Cause Session IPA. Probable Cause comes in at 4.20%ABV with 71 IBU’s. Jordan used US05 Ale Yeast rather than 1968 and a variety of hops including Chinook, CTZ, Comet and Apollo for flavor/bittering, dry-hopped with Chinook, CTZ, Comet and Apollo.
The hops give this session IPA a dank, weedy aroma and while it’s got a solid bitterness it’s got enough malt character to bring a good amount of balance into the beer.
