56 Brewing Launches Kickstarter Campaign in Minneapolis

imageFrom 56 Brewing:

56 Brewing is proud to announce the launch of their Kickstarter campaign.  As the newest member of the NE Minneapolis brewing community,  56 Brewing is in the process of establishing its Community Supported Brewing (CSB) model and their desire to attract the local community and beer enthusiasts alike, while highlighting NE Minneapolis and the local brewery culture.

56 Brewing envisions turning the newly acquired industrial space, at 3134 California St NE, into a brewing facility with usable green space and gardens.  There will be intentional synergy with the ground and the brewery, hence, “Garden to Growler”.  They strive to grow and showcase local hop varieties at the brewery and use indigenous spices, herbs, flowers and plants to harvest and pilot beer creations. Combined with a desire to support our neighbors' businesses by purchasing local ingredients such as honey and wheat, they also hope to offset the carbon footprint by utilizing a rainwater collection system and solar energy while pursuing LEED certification.

56 Brewing's Kickstarter goal is $20,000, a fraction of the cost to get started.  The remaining funding will come through private investment and the Community Supported Brewing (CSB) Program.
