Lance Armstrong Attempts Beer Mile But Quits After 2 Laps

The Flotrack Beer Mile World Championships are being held in Austin, Texas, next month, and Lance Armstrong decided to give the sport a go at a recent qualifying event, but the challenge proved too much.

Armstrong has completed the New York City Marathon in under three hours twice, but the disgraced cyclist was unable to make it past a single lap of the Beer Mile, which requires participants to chug Budweiser at the beginning of each quarter-mile lap.

After conceding that he couldn't continue after cracking his second beer, Armstrong said, "That was not what I expected."
