Scratch #118 - Session Spelt Saison (Grisette) now on tap! Rustic and unpretentious, Scratch #118 is our interpretation of the Grisette, the light-bodied and refreshing cousin of the Saison. The style recently has resonated with “session beer” drinkers due to its low ABV and thirst-quenching quality. Although the Grisette was thought to be extinct, the craft beer industry has breathed new life into this simple, easy-to-drink style. French Saison yeast adds a slight earthy, spicy quality, while the use of spelt (an ancient type of wheat) tips its hat to the Grisette’s past heritage and adds a bit of old world charm to this long-forgotten beer style. Availability: draft and growler fills only. ABV is 3.8% and IBU is 24.
