Our annual KRBC tap the pumpkin party will be Sunday, October 20th from 2-6 pm. We will have pumpkin carving for the kids, live music with Out of the Blue and lots of fun food specials. How about some Pumpkin Beer Stew with homemade Pumpkin Beer Bread or Homemade Mac n Cheese? Maybe some Pumpkin Bread Pudding with spiced whipping cream and Class X bourbon stout sauce? The pumpkin beer will be flowing (yes growler fills are available, no bottles are not yet available) and the weather should be just about perfect for sitting outside and enjoying your local brewpub. Pumpkin! I just had to write it one more time...
While Pumpkin beer might be enough to get most folks here for the weekend, we also have a fresh hop Black IPA on tap right now that is soooo gooood. We are calling it Black Rock IBA (India Black Ale!) after the station where Kyle spent much of his time as a fire fighter in the USFS. Dark and roasty with a surprising balance of malt and hops. Very drinkable at 6% abv.
In case you were curious, the Citra Lottery has been held and winners (and non-winners) were notified via e-mail earlier today. In case you were wondering, there were about 1000 entries and 320 winners, making the odds about 1 in 3. If you did not get a bottle, we will have Citra on draft (no growlers) starting Friday, October 25th. While we can't know how long it will last, you might want to get here that weekend if you are itching to try a pint. Who knows though, maybe it will last longer.
Hope to see you at the brewery sometime over the next few weeks with all the stuff we have going on. If you can't make it up for these events, don't worry, we'll be here waiting and making great beer. Just drop in whenever you get a chance.
