Pelican Wins 4 European Beer Star Medals
We are extremely excited to report that we have won 4 Medals in the 2013 European Beer Star Awards in the following categories:
India Pale Ale (IPA): Imperial Pelican Ale > Silver Award
English-Style Bitter: Surfer's Summer Ale > Bronze Award
Scotch Ale / Wee Heavy: MacPelican's Wee Heavy > Gold Award
Wood and Barrel-Aged Strong Beer: Mother of All Storms > Silver Award
The European Beer Star Awards, Europe's most competitive beer competition, received a total of 1,512 beers this year from over 40 different countries. An expert committee consisting of 102 persons evaluated the beers during an all-day blind taste taste held in the Doemens Brewing Academy in Gräfelfing, Germany.

Stillwell #1 Now on Tap in Pacific City
Stillwell #1 is our inaugural release from our brand new Tillamook facility, named after our new address in downtown Tillamook, at the corner of Stillwell and First Street. The beer is a Golden Ale made up of Pale Ale malt, biscuity Melanoidin malt, and floral, spicy notes from Mt. Hood and Sterling hops. A moderate hop finish balances the rich malt profile of this beer and copious dry-hopping gives Stillwell #1 an assertive hop aroma. 5% abv.
Stillwell #1 is a draft-only release and will be available at our pub in Pacific City as well as select accounts in Oregon & Washington. We will also be holding back a few kegs for the Mid-October opening of our Tap Room in Tillamook.
