From Founders:
We receive fresh whole cone hops to brew our Harvest Ale every year. It's labor intensive, but we think the effort is worth it. And the brewery smells incredible. Wednesday, September 4, 2013 marks the day we brewed the first batch this year. We will continue to receive shipments of hops through next week.
These Centennial hops come from various farmers throughout Yakima Valley in Washington with the help of Hopunion LLC.
Some of the Michigan hops going into the first batch of Harvest Ale! These are all Cascades. The box on the left are from Hopyards of Kent Co. and the paper grocery bags are all from employees' gardens.
