Carton Brewing will make another splash in the New Jersey craft beer community this month with the release of Shipwreck Porter on Monday, October 14. A honey porter aged in Brinley Gold Shipwreck Rum barrels for a year in the brewery’s cellar, this 10% ABV brew looks to be a deep, rich, dark sipper with notes of vanilla, spice, coffee, chocolate and honey.
From 10am to 3pm on October 14, 32oz growlers will be available for $20 each, with a limit of 3 per person. Any remaining growlers will be sold during normal tasting room hours the following weekend (Thursday-Sunday). 5 of the 10 barrels are earmarked for the brewery release, with the remaining half destined for special events in the future.

Carton Brewing is located at 6 East Washington Avenue in Atlantic Highlands. The tasting room is open Thursdays and Fridays from 5:00-7:30pm and Saturdays and Sundays from noon-5:00.
