From DelmarvaNow:
Instead of allowing the ordinance to pass, the commission opted to hold another public hearing Aug. 2 to fine-tune the restrictions and define what exactly a microbrewery is.
During the June 7 public hearing, people opposing the addition of a microbrewery in the two-block wide town said the traffic that a large-scale operation brings couldn’t be handled by Dewey, which already has traffic problems.
Smells from the microbrewery, as well as the fact that the town already has 20 alcohol serving establishments, were also presented as concerns…Brandon Smith, who proposed the plan, said he would not suggest something that he felt would hurt the town.
