Here’s a peek at the new label for Flying Fish Forever Unloved Sandy (aka FU Sandy). For 2013 the beer will be packaged in 750ml bottles and remain at 6.2% ABV. This is the only beer to use experimental hop variety ADHA 483, it is a Wheat-Pale Ale hybrid and proceeds benefit the Hurricane Sandy relief funds.
From Flying Fish:
After many, many requests asking us to re-release the beer for the summer, we're going to brew one batch of Sandy in kegs and then about 1,000 cases in the 750 ml champagne bottles that the Exit series beers come in. We will continue our fundraising efforts by earmarking a portion of these proceeds to add to the $45,000 we've already donated to the rebuilding efforts.
Kegs of this wheat pale ale will be heading out in time for Philly Beer Week in June. We're hoping to get the bottles out in mid- to late-June. Stay tuned.
And if you can't wait that long, the last keg of the original FU Sandy is being tapped on May 15 at Natirar Ninety Acres.
In the meantime we are featuring the very cool FU Sandy glassware and t-shirts
