Captain Lawrence Institutes New Beer Sample Pricing

From Captain Lawrence:

For the past seven years at Captain Lawrence Brewing we have received more support than we ever could have imagined. We have welcomed tScott Barrelhousands of people into our brewery and done our best to ensure that everyone has had the best experience possible when it comes to touring a brewery and sampling beers.

As many of you know we have moved into a new location, opened a much larger tasting room and expanded the space to include an outdoor patio and bocce area for all to enjoy while tasting fresh brewed beer. In an effort to improve the brewery experience we decided that we would begin to offer our beers for purchase in 12 oz cups so that when you find the beer of your choice you can sit and relax with a beer rather than waiting on line for samples.

We think that the crowds we have been getting are a testament to the atmosphere we have created and hopefully the quality of our fresh, locally brewed beer. However, this new atmosphere has created some unique challenges for us, both from a liability and legal standpoint, which we must now address.

In the past seven years we have given away tens of thousands of gallons of beer in free samples. We are now going to have to modify the way we do things. We have given this a lot of thought and think we have come up with a way that will add minimal cost to your tasting experience while still allowing us to address the issues we need to deal with.
