Lompoc Illegally Blonde Stout Coming 1/23 & Bourbon 69 Baltic Porter 2/6

imageSome beer release details and other news from Lompoc:

On Wednesday, January 23, enjoy the release of our new Illegally Blonde Stout at Hedge House. No it's not Reese Witherspoon, but it is an actor of sorts. This light colored, full-bodied beer will make you think it's costumed and playing a role that's not its own. Inspired by the German pale stouts of centuries old, it owes its body and bitter flavors to rolled oats and acidulated malts rather than dark, roasted ones. Centennial and Willamette hops contribute pleasant fruity and floral notes. Oh, and did we mention free food? We'll tap the keg at 4pm; Hedge House is located at 3412 SE Division St.

Bryan recently pulled 69 Baltic Porter out of Bourbon barrels - this has been aging over two years! The release party will be February 6 at Sidebar - on tap and in bottles! Also in February, we've got Zwickelmania, Black Out Party and Chowderl Challenge: more to come one those events in future eblasts.

This morning's snow may have melted, but it's still cold. Why not warm up by the fire at Sidebar? Tonight (1/10) we're pouring India Passion Elixir (a collaboration with Breakside),Santiam Pale Ale, Prime Directive IPA, Fleming Red, Rosemary Stout & Monster Mash. Tomorrow we're closed, but Saturday the lineup is India Passion Elixir, Santiam Pale Ale, Prime Directive IPA, Bourbon Barrel Aged LSD, Willy's Wheat & Monster Mash. 4-10 pm.
