Exciting distribution coming from our pals at Sly Fox:
Sly Fox Brewing Company began selling its beers in Delaware for the first time at the beginning of November, partnering with N.K.S. Distributors, Inc. N.K.S. is headquartered in New Castle and services the entire state from that location and a second one in Milford. The distributorship was founded in 1950 and is part of the? Anheuser-Busch distribution network.
Delaware becomes the fourth state where Sly Fox is currently sold, joining Pennsylvania, New York and New Jersey. The new market is the first one opened since Sly Fox?entered??the Upstate New York region in July 2008.
"It's been a while since we expanded our footprint," said brewmaster Brian O'Reilly. "We're?very pleased that we can finally oblige all the beer lovers in Delaware who have been asking for our beers. Our new building and brewhouse?which have turned out to be everything we expected, and more?made this possible. We'll be rolling out more seasonals as well and perhaps some additional beers in cans."
N.K.S. is a good fit for the company, O'Reilly added, noting that Sly Fox already has a solid relationship with Timothy A. Donnelly, the distributor's president and CEO. "Tim was the guy we first worked with when Origlio Beverage acquired our brand in the five-county Philadelphia market."
Managing partner John Giannopoulos said that slow and steady is how expansion will continue. "We made a sizable investment to enable us to grow and we will do so in a controlled fashion. Our first priority every step of the way will be to insure that we can make enough beer to meet all the needs of the wholesalers we have already partnered with. They are always our first priority and we're delighted to welcome N.K.S. onto the team."
