Oregon Minor League Baseball Team To Be Named “Hillsboro Hops”

Here’s some fun news coming out of Hillsboro, OR…their local Arizona Diamondback minor league baseball affiliate has chosen and name, and it’s a name hop growers will be proud of…”Hillsboro Hops!”  Details from SeattlePi:

HILLSBORO, Ore. (AP) — The new baseball team in Hillsboro will be known as the Hillsboro Hops. 

The club revealed the nickname Tuesday via Facebook and Twitter. 

The minor league affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks recently moved to Hillsboro from Yakima, Wash., and will play in a 4,500-seat stadium that's under construction.
