The Bruery - 5 Humulus Beers & Beer for Boobs

Some amazing Humulus-news from The Bruery:

Hi Everybody!

It's been a while since we've reached out to you via our e-mail list. Hopefully you all had a great end to your summer and are transitioning well back into the flow of school and work heading into the fall. We know we've been as busy as ever here in the Tasting Room! Between the release of a couple more Humulus Series beers, Autumn Maple, a few specialty seasonal beers and the addition of our brand-new (and free to you!) photo booth, this has been a great time for us.

This whole week we have been running two awesome pre-set flights to go alongside our 'choose your own' option. Those flights are available to give you a more curated Bruery experience, with each beer chosen to specifically show you something about either our brewery or a specific style. As elections season gets into full swing, we have been running a 'Patrick for President' flight. That flight, which includes Hottenroth, Humulus Sterling, Mischief, Old Richland and Autumn Maple, shows off a bit of everything that we do at the Bruery -- from subtly sour to aggressively hoppy to spiced and malty, it is a great way to be introduced to what we do here. Vote for your favorite beer with a ballot on the bar and on election day we will award the 'winner' with a special Tasting Room only variation. If hoppy beers are more of your thing, this is the week to come in. Although we don't brew an IPA, we have plenty of hops to go around. Our 'Not an IPA' flight includes five different Humulus Series beers -- the most we have ever had on in the Tasting Room at any one time -- each of which shows off how versatile the hoppy styles can be. Humulus XPA, a cask of extra hopped Humulus Sterling and Humulus Lager with Coconuts are the anchors for that fun flight. Again, those flights are just here for those of you looking for a more curated experience but we encourage you to get wild and crazy with our 'choose your own' option as well.

Our big event for this weekend will be the our Beer for Boobs event this Sunday from 12-4 PM. As many of you remember from that event last year, this is an event put on by some good friends to promote breast cancer awareness and financially support non-profit cancer research and recovery organizations. The event works like this: For $12 you get a Beer for Boobs pint glass that you can fill with any number of beers including one special draft that we are breaking out for this event only. This year we decided to serve a Sour Rugbrød, a special soured version of our robust brown ale brewed with rye malt. We'd tell you more about it but no one has tried it yet! Tomorrow it will be racked from the barrels and into kegs for the party! Bacon Mania will be by as well to serve up some of their delectable hog-tied treats. We will have football on as well, so now you have no excuse not to stop by and support that great cause!

Food trucks will be by as well, with Bite Me Foods coming around tonight, the Viking Truck serving up some sausages on Friday, Hula Moon will bring their twist on traditional Hawaiian foods on Saturday and Sunday Bacon Mania will be here for all you nice people out here to support Beer for Boobs!
