Brewery At Abigaile Coming To Hermosa Beach

Located at the former Union Cattle Company, The Brewery At Abigaile is bringing beer back to Hermosa Beach, CA.  This from The Brewery @ Abigaile:

With a name like Brian Brewer, how could you not love beer. Born in Riverside, CA, Brian started homebrewing at seventeen years old in his parents’ kitchen. “I started brewing because I wasn’t old enough to buy beer; my parents were pretty cool,” shares Brian. After pursuing a degree in Business at UC Riverside, Brian decided to follow his true passion and enrolled in the UC Davis Master Brewer’s Program in 2003. Brian also completed and passed the rigorous three part, nine-hour session for the Institute of Brewers and Distillers Associate Membership Exam.

Brian began his commercial brewing career at PH Woods in Moreno Valley and Babe’s BBQ in Rancho Mirage under the tutelage of multiple award-winning brewer, Hans Johnson. Brian then became a Brewmaster at Riverside Brewing Company where he developed his style and passion for beer making. Brian was then selected as a Brewer for the incredibly successful Stone Brewing Company in Escondido, CA. Brian reflects, “This is where I learned attention to detail, consistency in production, impeccable sanitation standards, and recipe design through working with true beer experts. It was an enlightening experience.”

Brewer’s commitment to a fresh, local, new West Coast flavor runs deep. “I’m a big West Coast IPA fan. It’s probably my favorite to brew and drink, but the endless possibilities found within the experimental and barrel-aged beer categories is something that I’m really drawn to.”

Brian’s philosophy on beer making is simple: Bring only the freshest, high quality ingredients to the process.

We are excited about The Brewery at Abigaile as the only true beach-based restaurant in the South Bay that brews on-site.
