Picture if you can a bicycle that holds a 50-liter keg, complete with a tap system, ice, CO2 and even pint glasses! If you can then Kichesippi Beer Co. & Tall Trees Cycles have the vehicle for you. This from the OttowaCitizen:
Beer drinking and bike riding — two popular summer pastimes that should not normally be brought together — are coming together and Kichesippi Beer Co. has found a way to do it — legally.
The Ottawa brewery will launch what they believe is the first-ever beer bike in Canada this weekend. Kichesippi Beer Co. worked with Tall Tree Cycles to create a rustic-looking bicycle complete with a 50-liter keg, a countertop and a functioning tap for fresh, cold brews.
The idea came to mind last winter when the two businesses started talking. Tall Tree Cycles, which has made custom bicycles before, saw the cargo bike design work for beer delivery in Europe and proposed a similar idea to Kichesippi Beer Co.
