Anheuser-Busch Spends $12K Reserving 42 Airport Codes As Beer Names

No doubt a result of the success of their telephone area code-based beer names like Goose Island 312 Urban Wheat, Anheuser Busch filed federal trademarks for 42 airport codes including LGA, BOS, LAX, SFO, MIA, ORD, SEA, JFK, DEN, ATL, IAH, MSP, PHL, STL and many more.  At $275 per application that means AB has invested almost $12,000.  AB has been granted a six month extension to files what they plan to do with these so stay tuned.  More details here from STLToday.
