There are three bills up before the Mississippi legislature that will have a profound effect on craft beer lovers in Mississippi, as well as their ONLY brewery, Lazy Magnolia, Tow of these bills (SB2878 & SB3270) would allow the ABW (yes alcohol by weight not volume) limits to be increased from 5% to 8%.  This would increase the more familiar ABV in Mississippi to 10%.  The other bill, SB2600 would allow Lazy Magnolia to provide samples of their beers at the brewery with the intent of increasing tourism.  All three bills have passed in the Senate and now move on to the house for debate.  More details here from therepublic.
