In a recent referendum the Edinburgh University Students Association (EUSA) voted to bane SABMiller beers from the institutions bars. The move was made in response to what EUSA considers unfair tax policies. While SABMiller denies the charges, EUSA is basing their decision on a report published by ActionAid stating SABMiller avoided paying over £20 million in corporate taxes. This move will mean beers like Peroni, Miller, Grolsch and Pilsner Urquell will not be available in EUSA controlled bars.

Should EUSA ban all SABMiller products sold from Union outlets within the university due to the unethical tax practices of this brewer, until the company incorporates tax justice principles into its corporate responsibility policy?
