Great Lakes Brewing Co To Distribute to Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill, NC Northern VA & Central PA

imageGreat Lakes Brewing Co (Cleveland OH) will make further entry into the North Carolina & PA  markets.  GLBC entered the Charlotte & Greensboro markets in March 2010 and will enter the Raleigh-Durham & Chapel Hill markets on Feb 20, 2012.  GLBC will be bringing bottles & draft of their core brands as well as their new 12-bottle sample packs.  The distribution will be done through Long Beverage Inc., so stay tuned the “The Triangle”….Commodore Perry IPA is on the way.

New Market Rollout Slated for February 20, 2012

January 9, 2012—CLEVELAND, OHIO—Great Lakes Brewing Company (GLBC), Ohio’s most celebrated craft brewer of award-winning lagers and ales, announces its plan to enter the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill (North Carolina) market with Long Beverage Inc. on February 20, 2012. GLBC previously launched products in Charlotte and Greensboro in March 2010; “The Triangle” is the next natural step in the company’s strategic growth plans. Customers can expect to see GLBC’s year-round family of beers in package and draft, as well as the new “Taster’s Pack” (a sampler 12-pack).

The new market rollout will involve multiple customer appreciation events, meet-and-greets, tastings and giveaways throughout the area. “We’ve been courted by distributors all over North Carolina for a number of years now, and there’s a large population of Ohioans clamoring for our product down there,” explains Patrick Conway, GLBC Co-Owner. “We are committed to our methodical growth and look to penetrate deeper in the states we currently serve. On the heels of rolling out Central Pennsylvania (February 1st) and Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill (February 20th), Northern Virginia is the latest distribution area in the company’s strategic growth plans. Hop & Wine Beverage currently distributes GLBC products throughout Washington DC; Virginia will become the 13th state to receive GLBC’s craft beers.
